THE "STACK" EFFECT
50% of the air you breathe comes from your crawl space.
In the Treasure Valley, our high water tables act like a bathtub under your home. The clay soil holds moisture, creating a damp environment perfect for mold and rot.

As heat rises in your home, it pulls this damp, musty air up through your floorboards (the "Stack Effect"). If you smell "dirt" or have high humidity in your house, your crawl space is the likely culprit.
Structural Risk:
Constant moisture rots wood joists and causes insulation to fall, leading to sagging floors and high energy bills.

THE IDS STANDARD INSTALLATION
We don't cut corners. Here is exactly how we install a system designed to last 50+ years.
1
Drainage Trenching
Before sealing, we dig a perimeter trench inside the crawl space to capture groundwater seeping through the foundation footing.
2
Sump Pump Install
We install a heavy-duty sump basin and pump at the lowest point to actively eject collected water away from your home.
3
20-Mil Barrier
We install a bright white, 20-mil reinforced liner over the floor and up the walls. It's tough enough to crawl on without ripping.
4
Air Conditioning
We seal vents and install commercial dehumidifiers to keep humidity below 50%, stopping mold growth permanently.
CRAWL SPACE FAQS
Will this get rid of the smell?
Yes. The musty smell is caused by damp soil and mold growth. By sealing the earth and conditioning the air, the smell typically dissipates within a few days of installation.
Do I really need a dehumidifier?
In Idaho, we recommend it. Once we seal the vents (to stop hot summer air from condensing), we need a way to manage moisture. A commercial dehumidifier ensures humidity stays below 50% year-round.
Can I use the space for storage?
Absolutely. Once encapsulated with our heavy-duty 20-mil liner, your crawl space becomes clean, dry, and suitable for storing holiday decorations or household items.
